Mike’s dad lives at Lake Anna. We have spent a weekend with friends at the lake every summer since 2009. We would like to continue our tradition of a lake weekend and have a wedding during it!

We recommend sharing a rental house with other guests in/near The Waters at Lake Anna neighborhood.

If you choose to stay elsewhere, you must provide your own transportation to and from the wedding. Ubers and taxis are not readily available in this area and we do not want our guests drinking and driving.

Semi-formal/cocktail attire is requested. Men will wear suits and women will wear dresses. Please, no jeans or white dresses.

Do not wear stiletto heels. There are grassy areas that you will walk on. Block heels or wedge sandals will be more comfortable.

No. Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Keep your phones in your purses and pockets!

At the reception, please snap away!

The ceremony will be outdoors. The reception will be held in an open air greenhouse and on a patio. Heaters and fans will be used as needed.

There is a large parking area at Avonlea Farms. After parking, you will be transported to the ceremony site in a golf cart.

If you leave your car at the venue and take the shuttle after the wedding, you will need to collect your car by 10 AM on Saturday.

We waited until we moved from Colorado back to Virginia to start thinking about wedding planning - and all the Saturdays were booked! But we’re going to make the best of it by enjoying the lake together on Saturday. Then, recovering and traveling home on Sunday.
